Week 5 nominations: eight names in the frame

Bigg Boss 20 has finished four weeks, and the first big reset of the new week is here. After Rhiti Tiwari’s mid-week eviction shocked the house, many viewers expected a second exit during the Weekend Ka Vaar. That did not happen. In Sunday’s episode, the makers declared all remaining contestants safe, then sent the house straight into the next nominations drill.

The Week 5 danger list has eight contestants: Qazi Touqeer, Aman Gandhi, Mahhi Vij, Kanika Mann, Gullu (Kushal Tanwar), Love Gill, Arishfa Khan and Mary Kom. Mary Kom’s nomination came directly from captain Uditi Singh, while the rest landed in the elimination line-up through the task.

Inside the punching-bag nomination task

The format is physical and public. Each housemate has to place pictures of two contestants they want nominated on a punching bag, and boxing champion Mary Kom does the punching. That makes alliances and grudges visible, and no one gets to vote quietly.

It also puts a sports star at the centre of the game. Because Mary Kom was nominated separately by the captain, she is both a participant in the task and a contestant fighting to stay in the house.

The nominations task will air tonight, October 5, 2026, at 9 pm on Jio Hotstar and 10:30 pm on Colors TV. Voting is done through the Jio Hotstar app, and it opens only after the nominations segment has aired.
