The fifth week of Bigg Boss 20 has begun with a nomination twist that hands real power to the current captain. Episode 30 drops tonight, October 5, and the promo has already revealed the first name in the Week 5 danger zone.

Captain Uditi Singh gets a direct call

Bigg Boss has given captain Uditi Singh a special power: she can directly nominate one contestant she feels is not active enough in the game. She has named Mary Kom as the first contestant to be nominated in Week 5.

The rest of the nomination task still involves the full house. Each housemate has to take two names to nominate, and Mary Kom will punch the statue that carries the masks of those contestants. The complete Week 5 nominated list will be revealed only in the upcoming episode.

Why the twist matters

This is a change from the usual group-driven nomination process. A captain’s single decision can now put a contestant directly at risk before the audience has a full picture. With three evictions already done, the margin for error inside the house is smaller.
