Bigg Boss 20: Qazi’s rockstar energy is real, family says
Qazi Touqeer's family says his Bigg Boss 20 rockstar energy mirrors his real personality, and opens up about Fame Gurukul, his wife and Arijit Singh.

Bigg Boss 20 viewers who think Qazi Touqeer is putting on a show for the cameras may have it the wrong way around. According to his family, the flamboyant singer is the same person at home in Kashmir as he is inside the house.
Family says the personality is real
In a conversation with Kashmir-based influencer Nayeem Rather, Qazi’s uncle said the singer has always been lively and loves making people laugh. “He talks to trees, animals, and everyone around,” his uncle said. He added that Qazi studied at a convent school in Rajbagh and then at Amar Singh College, underlining that the rockstar image did not come from nowhere.
There is a long story behind that image. Qazi won Fame Gurukul in 2005, when he was 19, and then performed in Australia, the US, Singapore and other countries. “He never sat idle,” his uncle said.
Inside the Bigg Boss 20 house
Qazi has carried the same identity into the game, switching between moods, cracking jokes and creating moments. Salman Khan noticed it early and called him the house’s “rockstar” during the first Weekend Ka Vaar.
His brother on wife, Arijit Singh and acting
In an earlier interview with Film Window, Qazi’s brother Touseef said the family has been moved by the support. He described Qazi’s wife as “the real rockstar of our house” and a pillar of strength. “He is not the person who goes for groupism,” Touseef said.
The brother also spoke about Qazi’s friendship with Arijit Singh. The two have a long bond and are expected to collaborate. Touseef said work on a project has begun but “the actual work is yet to happen,” and promised it will be “very big and beautiful.”
Qazi’s journey has not been without setbacks. Touseef recalled that some acting projects were shelved and two to three years were wasted, but said Qazi never stopped working. Before entering Bigg Boss 20, he was living in Kashmir and doing live shows.
Why it matters for viewers
For the audience, family endorsements often shape how a contestant is perceived. Here are the key takeaways:
- His family says the loud, warm personality on screen is genuine, not a performance.
- He has been working since Fame Gurukul 2005, with international shows and live performances.
- His brother highlights strong home support, especially from his wife, and an individual game plan.
- A future collaboration with Arijit Singh gives fans something beyond the house to look forward to.
