Divyanka and Vivek Return to TV 3 Months After Twins

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya open up about returning to Colors TV's Dhamaal with Pati Patni aur Panga three months after their twin boys arrived.

Divyanka and Vivek return to TV three months after twins

Three months after welcoming twin baby boys, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya are back in front of the camera. The couple has joined Dhamaal with Pati Patni aur Panga Season 2 on Colors TV, and Divyanka calls the return a deeply courageous decision. It is a quick turnaround for any new parent, let alone two actors stepping into a star-studded lineup.

Why the timing hits home

For fans, this is more than a casting update. Divyanka and Vivek have spent years being watched as one of television’s most grounded pairs. Returning to a busy set just three months after their twins arrived raises the same question many new parents live with: how soon is too soon?

“There is no such thing as simply ‘bouncing back’,” Divyanka told IWMBuzz.

She said nothing quite prepares you for postpartum life. The physical aches, brain fog and relentless demands do not disappear just because the camera is rolling. What gets her through, she says, is a love for the work and a decision to take it one day at a time.

Two roles, one partnership

Vivek is not just standing by. He describes himself as a hands-on father to the twins and as Divyanka’s emotional anchor. After a long shoot, he becomes what he calls her personal diary and complaint box — the person she unpacks the exhaustion with.

“I am her personal diary and complaint box,” Vivek said.

He also says his experience of fatherhood is different from hers. His job, as he sees it, is to keep moving between the babies and Divyanka without pretending either side is easy.

The early months have looked like this:

  • Divyanka is working through postpartum recovery while returning to the camera.
  • Vivek is balancing twin duty with being her constant support.
  • They are leaning on family support and talking through problems together.

No perfect-couple performance

In an industry that often sells perfection, the couple is choosing transparency. They dismissed the “power couple” label and said there is nothing to prove to anyone. Their imperfections, not a polished image, are what make the relationship work.

For viewers, that means the pair showing up on Colors TV are not performing an idealised version of new parenthood. They are two best friends navigating a messy, beautiful chapter — and the new season gives them a stage to share the same honesty that made them fan favourites.
