Bigg Boss 20: Kriti Verma Flags Nakul’s Repeated Identity Remarks
Kriti Verma says Nakul Dhull kept asking Aman Gandhi about his sexuality after he had answered, and that crosses a line in the Bigg Boss 20 house.

Bigg Boss 20 has a new moment testing where light teasing ends and personal pressure begins. Aman Gandhi is trending after a conversation with Nakul Dhull turned to his sexual identity, and former Bigg Boss contestant Kriti Verma is now arguing that the exchange should not be laughed off.
What happened in the house
It started in a chat about Mumbai’s open culture, women’s safety and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. Nakul asked Aman about gay people, and then asked whether he was ‘into them or straight’.
Aman said he is straight and has no issue with gay friends. But according to the episode, Nakul did not leave it there. He suggested Aman should ‘try’ and explore it. Aman declined firmly and kept his calm, choosing not to turn the moment into a fight.
Why Kriti Verma says the line was crossed
For Kriti, the issue is not the first question. It is the follow-up. She said Aman had already answered, so going back to the same point placed him in an uncomfortable position without his choosing. A repeated question about someone’s sexuality, after they have made themselves clear, belongs to the conversation around dignity and consent, not entertainment.
‘What Nakul said to Aman Gandhi was not something that could simply be brushed aside as harmless fun,’ Kriti said.
She also raised a consistency question. If a woman contestant had been questioned about her sexuality in the same way, she believes the reaction would probably have been much sharper, and the issue could have dominated a Weekend Ka Vaar. That double standard, she argued, is part of the problem.
Qazi Touqeer also indicated the exchange was inappropriate, adding another voice inside the house to the idea that this had moved past ordinary banter.
A familiar Bigg Boss test
This is the kind of argument Bigg Boss viewers know well. A personal remark lands, the house divides, and social media spends the next day deciding whether it was a joke or disrespect. Here, the practical test is what happened after Aman’s first clear answer.
- One clear answer should close the question. Going back to it is where the problem starts.
- Staying calm is not consent. Aman chose restraint, but that does not make repeated comments harmless.
- Flip the frame. If the same exchange would feel unacceptable with the roles reversed, it was probably unacceptable the first time.
Long-running reality formats often treat friction as content, but the debates that stick are the ones about boundaries. Fans will now watch whether the makers take it up in the next Weekend Ka Vaar, and whether the audience applies a single standard no matter who is in the spotlight.
