Bigg Boss 20: Amrapali Opens Up on Nirahua Marriage Talk
Amrapali Dubey clears the air on Nirahua dating rumours in Bigg Boss 20, while a chicken dispute and a sexuality question add fresh tension.

The latest Bigg Boss 20 episode pushed personal equations into the open. Amrapali Dubey had to address the long-running chatter around her bond with Bhojpuri star Dinesh Lal Yadav, better known as Nirahua, while two other flashpoints over food and sexuality kept the house tense.
Amrapali’s Nirahua conversation with Mahhi
Mahhi Vij asked Amrapali why she did not have a boyfriend and suggested that losing weight could change that. Amrapali said that even before, many men had shown interest, but she had chosen not to make anyone her boyfriend.
When the talk moved to the Bhojpuri film industry, Amrapali said most actors there are married and that she does not share a particularly close equation with Pawan Singh, who is unmarried. On Nirahua, Mahhi remembered seeing Amrapali with him and his children in Bandra.
Amrapali described Nirahua’s wife as a homemaker and said the marriage was arranged before he became an actor. Asked whether he had married only once and whether he had ever had a girlfriend, Amrapali said, “Girlfriend toh rahi hongi.” Mahhi followed up by asking if he had stayed with his wife, and Amrapali agreed.
Food and an uncomfortable line of questioning
When Mahhi asked for an extra piece of chicken, captain Aasif Khan divided the food equally and gave her a piece along with curry from the extra bowl. Mahhi later criticised the handling and called it “chindiigiri”, saying food matters should be dealt with more care. Kanika and Qazi Touqeer stepped in to console her.
In another chat, Aman Gandhi was speaking about Mumbai’s safety for women and the city’s acceptance of LGBTQIA+ culture when Nakul Dhull asked whether he was straight or gay. Aman said he was straight, but Nakul kept pushing his views on gay people, whether he would consider being with a man, and brought up the word homophobic, which describes prejudice against gay or LGBTQIA+ people. Later, Nakul told Gullu and Qazi that he had deliberately used the term to tease Aman because he could see the topic was bothering him.
Why fans are reading into this
- Amrapali clears the broad outline: Nirahua’s wife is a homemaker and the marriage was arranged before stardom; the rest is left to viewers.
- Food becomes a house issue: Portions were already sensitive, and Mahhi’s chindiigiri comment will linger.
- The sexuality exchange is being called out: Nakul’s admission that he teased on purpose makes it more than a throwaway joke.
These moments stick because Bigg Boss audiences read early conversations as signals of house dynamics. Amrapali did not confirm a link-up, but her “girlfriend toh rahi hongi” line gives social media plenty to debate. The food complaint and the teasing could also shape upcoming arguments and nominations.
