Bigg Boss South signs 75+ sponsors for festive 2026 season
JioStar’s Bigg Boss Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions cross 75 sponsors, with new and local advertisers driving the festive rush.

The festive season has turned Bigg Boss South into one of Indian television’s most crowded advertising stages. JioStar says the 2026 Southern slate—Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam—has brought in 75+ sponsors, with fresh and local money leading the rush.
For viewers, that means the sponsor integrations, contest tie-ups and brand-led segments around the show are only going to get busier over the next few months.
New and local advertisers are driving the pile-up
According to JioStar, more than 50% of advertiser participation across the Southern markets is coming from new advertisers, while around 30% of spends are being driven by local brands. The list spans FMCG, food and beverages, personal care, automobiles, consumer electronics, jewellery, fintech, healthcare, home improvement, retail and real estate.
Names already on the roster include Asian Paints, Maruti Suzuki, Britannia, Colgate, Haier, Star Health, Danube Properties, PhonePe, Coca-Cola, Vijay Sales, MyG and Regal Jewellers.
Why festive timing is doing the heavy lifting
JioStar’s Festive Playbook estimates average festive spending will rise 46%—from ₹16,500 in 2025 to ₹24,020 in 2026—and 68% of consumers begin planning purchases more than a month in advance. Brands are chasing attention well before the final purchase, not just during the sale window.
- 46% rise in average festive spending projected for 2026.
- 300 million+ South Indian viewers reached by Bigg Boss in 2025.
- 8 in 10 regional TV viewers engaged with the franchise.
- 49 debutant brands joined Bigg Boss across 46 categories in 2025.
Measurable results are pulling advertisers in
Asian Paints’ association with Bigg Boss Tamil 2025 delivered 1.22x top-of-mind awareness, 1.26x purchase intent, 87% ad recall and 78% integration recall, according to JioStar. That kind of brand-funnel movement is why agency planners are treating the format as a festive default.
Gurumkonda Madhusudan Krishnamurthy, Managing Director at IAMPL Bengaluru, said brands are likely to keep aligning spends with Bigg Boss Kannada around Diwali, Dussehra-Navaratri, Christmas-New Year and Sankranti. Maheshwar Rao of VV Ambigai Ads added that the absence of conventional viewership ratings is pushing agencies towards established, high-impact properties.
What viewers will actually see
Expect more sponsor mentions, more tightly integrated brand tasks and more local names showing up around the festive weeks. National and regional advertisers are now sitting side by side, so the sponsor slate will closely mirror the shopping baskets viewers are already building.
Mahesh Shetty, Head of Entertainment Sales, TV at JioStar, said consumers on JioStar’s TV network spend 50% more time with its content than with user-generated content and pay significantly more attention than audiences on other platforms. Bhaskar Ramesh, Head of Entertainment Sales, Digital at JioStar, called shared living-room attention the “most valuable and most contested currency” during the season.
The larger shift is clear: Bigg Boss is being used less like a spot-buy and more like a regional festive platform. In the South, JioStar says its reach is 3.5 times that of every other reality show combined.
