Season 12 of Indian Idol has come to an end! This season has been in the news for a lot of reasons. The crown has been given to Pawandeep Rajan. He not only got the trophy but also a check of Rs 25 lakhs.
Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Shanmukhapriya, Mohd Danish, Sayli Kamble and Nihal Tauro were the finalist of the season. The makers had aired a 12- hour long finale episode. It was only after a long and tiring day that the winner was announced.
During the time that the finale was being aired, some users on social media had pointed that Shanmukhapriya was the most undeserving finalist in the history of the show. However, there were others that wanted her to lift the trophy.
When the results were announced Shanmukhapriya was in the sixth position and Nihal was in the fifth position. Mohd Danish was in fourth place. Arunita Kanjilal was declared the first runner up and Sayli Kamble was the second runner up
Earlier in the day, Mohd Danish had called his journey to be a dream come true. Since he had not anticipated it at the time of participating, this has come as a surprise. Danish is very excited about the grand finale event.
Danish said, “It still feels like a dream. I never thought I would make it to the grand finale. I am grateful for the love and blessings of my loved ones. They are the ones, who made this dream turn into a reality. I always wanted to participate in Indian Idol and I have been following the show since my childhood. And now I am part of the season which has been historic.”
