Param Singh to Lead Golden Peacock Telefilms’ Next Story TV Drama

Golden Peacock Telefilms is lining up its next Story TV release, and the cast suggests the banner wants to keep its vertical slate in the conversation. According to an IWMBuzz exclusive, Param Singh has been roped in as the lead, with Paras Madaan playing the antagonist and Chhavi Pandey also on board.

The story and the roles

The fresh concept is built around friendship, love and betrayal. That emotional triangle should give the cast plenty of high-drama moments, which is exactly what the vertical format thrives on.

Param Singh will front the project. Paras Madaan, who has been moving through varied parts in the vertical space, will take on the negative track. Chhavi Pandey completes the central cast.

Who the audience already knows

• Param Singh — last seen in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, now stepping into a lead role on Story TV.
• Paras Madaan — a familiar face in vertical dramas, cast against type as the antagonist this time.
• Chhavi Pandey — last seen in Hui Gumm Yaadein, adding another daily-soap favourite to the cast.

Why this matters for vertical drama viewers

The producers — Himanshu Thakur, Manndar Karanjalkar and Dharmedra Sharma — have spoken about how vertical micro-dramas are widening India’s creative ecosystem and changing the way stories are told. A cast with this much television recognition makes that pitch concrete: it signals that known actors are treating short-format storytelling as a serious destination, not a side experiment.

Story TV has been building a slate of these quick, phone-first stories, and Golden Peacock Telefilms’ previous vertical concept featured Himanshu Soni, Shivya Pathania and Nishant Singh Malkani. Adding Param Singh and Chhavi Pandey suggests the next project is meant to draw in viewers already attached to their television work.

What we are still waiting for

The title, release date and full supporting cast have not been announced yet. IWMBuzz noted that the actors could not be reached for comment, so details are still thin. But with the cast reportedly shooting, the story is moving from casting conversations to production.

For now, the takeaway for fans is simple: keep Story TV on your watchlist, and expect a love-and-betrayal narrative with a proper TV face at the centre.
