Prince Narula On Wife Yuvika Chaudhary’s ‘Casteist’ Slur Controversy, Says, ‘We Wouldn’t Have Been Married’

Yuvika Chaudhary has embroiled in a controversy for allegedly using a casteist slur in a video. Since then, the video has gone viral. The actress was also been slammed by netizens using one top trend hashtag ‘Arrest Yuvika Chaudhary’. An FIR had been launched against the actress. Later, Yuvika had also apologized and said that she unaware of the meaning of the word.

The actress had issued an apology, she said, “First of all, with folded hands, I apologise to you’ll. I used the word unknowingly and I didn’t know the meaning. Please forgive a mistake that happened unknowingly,”

Now Prince Narula came in support of his wife and spoke about the controversy. He said, “People make a big deal out of the smallest things. And more important things are never addressed. She did not even know that the word she had used had casteist connotations. We don’t believe in caste. I’m a Punjabi, she is a Jat. Had it been so, we would not have gotten married,”

He further added that people are saying whatever they want to but I feel they should say it properly. “She apologised as she felt that if she has hurt someone, then she should say sorry. She has not apologised to everyone. People are saying whatever they want to but I feel they should say it properly.”

As per the official, Yuvika was booked by the Haryana Police following a complaint by a Dalit rights activist. Police registered an FIR against the actress under the scheduled castes and scheduled Tribes.

Earlier, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah star Munmun Dutta was also into a controversy after she used a casteist slur in a YouTube video. The actress had also issued an apology.
