Sailessh Gulabani Joins Star Plus Apsara Cast
Sailessh Gulabani is the latest reported name to join Star Plus' upcoming supernatural drama Apsara, in the male lead's family track.

Star Plus’ upcoming supernatural drama Apsara is shaping up as one of the more closely watched ensemble builds on Indian television. The latest name reported to join the Mukta Dhond-produced show is Sailessh Gulabani, last seen on Colors TV’s Manpasand Ki Shaadi.
Where Sailessh fits in
According to an exclusive IWMBuzz report, Sailessh has been signed for an important role in the male lead’s family. That track is led by Paras Kalnawat, while Samiksha Jaiswal and Anushka Merchande play sisters who represent good and evil respectively.
The casting around them has been building steadily. Earlier reports from the same outlet have linked Afzaal Khan, Avika Gor, Poorva Gokhale, Anushka Merchande, Mohammed Saud Mansuri and Preet Kaur Nayak to vital roles in the show.
Why the family track matters
Supernatural dramas live and die on the emotional investment audiences have in the households around the lead characters. The male lead’s family is usually where loyalties, secrets and big confrontations simmer, so a known face joining that unit matters more than a routine supporting-cast announcement.
For viewers who have followed Sailessh’s work, this puts him inside a story that leans heavily on good-versus-evil conflict from its central sister pairing. The show is produced under Mukta Dhond’s Malhar Content Creators banner.
A household casting link
There is a fun off-screen connection in the report as well. Sailessh’s wife, actor Ashita Dhawan, has signed up for Mukta Dhond’s Colors TV show Mannat, which is reportedly headed for a new beginning. That gives the same household two different Mukta Dhond productions to follow.
At the time the report was filed, Sailessh had not responded to the outlet, and the producer and channel spokesperson had not issued a comment.
What to watch for next
- Promos and first looks should confirm Sailessh’s character and where he sits in the male lead’s family.
- More casting announcements are likely as Apsara heads towards its Star Plus launch.
- Fans of Ashita Dhawan can also track Mannat on Colors TV for its new beginning.
There is no launch date in the update, so casting exclusives are currently the main way fans can map the show before its first promo drops. The channel and production house have not officially confirmed the role, which is normal for casting reports at this stage.
For now, this is another sign that Apsara is loading up on familiar television faces across the board, not just at the top of the call sheet.
