Samantha Akkineni recently made her thrilling OTT debut with Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man Season 2. The actress has reportedly bagged another web series, which will stream on Netflix India. The mega-budget show will be in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages. Samantha is yet to sign on the dotted lines awaiting the final narration of the script.
In “The Family Man 2”, Samantha’s fierce persona and Brown face captivated the netizens. Her performance in the web series Family Man 2 has impressed critics as well. The Amazon Prime series happens to be Samantha’s first Hindi venture.
Samantha Akkineni will soon resume the shooting of the big-budget film Shaakuntalam. The pan-India project also features Dev Mohan in a lead role. During the launch of the film, Samantha expressed her delight. She said, “I have portrayed several exciting roles in my decade-long career. But I’ve been longing to play a princess and have waited for a film like Shaakuntalam to happen. I am really excited to be a part of this film.”
Samantha added, “During my childhood if I was upset or sad, I would cheer myself up by watching a Disney film. It has been my greatest strength. Even now, those films are my go-to film. After 10 years of being in the film industry, Dil Raju sir and Guna sir have given me the biggest gift of my career.” Samantha is aiming to deliver 100 percent to the project, which Gunasekhar is so passionate about.
