Romanch Mehta Joins Debina as Co-Producer of Tum Mere Ho

Romanch Mehta has joined Debina Bonnerjee as co-producer of Tum Mere Ho, starring Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya, opening October 23.

Romanch Mehta Adds Co-Producer Credit to Tum Mere Ho

Romanch Mehta, a familiar face from shows such as Ramayan, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Siya Ke Ram and Gangaa, is stepping behind the camera. The television actor has joined Debina Bonnerjee as a co-producer of Tum Mere Ho, a film that also has him acting in front of the camera.

The film, starring Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya and directed by Ashish Panda, is set for a theatrical release on October 23, 2026. For television followers, the update is another sign of a familiar small-screen name widening his role from daily soaps to cinema.

How the credit came about

In an interview with Filmibeat, Mehta said he never planned to become a producer. It happened organically while he stood by Gurmeet Choudhary, whom he calls family. He credited television, where he has worked since 2008, for the life he has built in Mumbai.

It’s an emotional investment – a journey built on friendship, trust and a shared dream.

He used those words to explain why the credit means more than a designation. The Uttarakhand schedule gave him an early way to contribute: Haldwani is his hometown, and he knew Bhimtal, Nainital and Ramnagar well. Production, however, came later.

Shooting on a budget, across three places

Mehta described producing and acting in the same film as a roller-coaster. The team worked with a limited budget and a tight schedule across Uttarakhand, Mumbai and Thailand, and he admitted that production details ran through his mind even while acting.

He pointed to support from the team that made the balance easier:

  • Director Ashish Panda and executive producer Vijay Sukale kept the shoot moving.
  • Producer Debina Bonnerjee and partner Aarti Singh shared the producing load.
  • Mehta’s years as an actor helped him manage both responsibilities.

Why the October 23 release matters

For the television audience, Tum Mere Ho brings together Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya. Mehta said the film packs music, romance, intensity, action and adventure, and he called the on-screen pairing fresh. The team is currently in post-production.

Mehta also described the film as a small-town dream story, noting that he, Gurmeet and Debina come from small towns with big Bollywood dreams. For a lean-budget film led by television names, the opening weekend becomes a statement. His appeal is simple: come to cinemas, hear the music and judge the film on its own terms.

What happens after release

Mehta said the focus is only on Tum Mere Ho for now. After the release, he plans a 10- to 15-day break to recharge, then the team will sit down and decide what to pursue next. There are a few stories in the pipeline, but he wants the audience to give this film a chance first.
