Abhay Deol and Shilpa Shukla will be seen together in the upcoming web series Trial By Fire. The series is being produced by Endelmol Shine, their recent web series Bombay Begums was much acclaimed and controversial at the same time.
The web series is based on the book by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy. The book is the heartbreaking saga of Delhi’s Uphaar Cinema fire tragedy in the year 1997. Around 55 people were killed and hundreds were injured in the unfortunate incident. The writers of the book lost both their children, Unnati and Ujjwal, Apart from the tragedy, justice was received against Ansal Brothers after a 19-year long struggle.
Sidharth Jain of StoryInk, has facilitated the book-to-screen adaptation and has collaborated with Endelmol Shine as the producers of the series. The series will be directed by Prashant Nair who has also directed ‘Made in Heaven’ by Amazon Prime Video. The web series will stream on Netflix. Abhay and Shilpa recently did a photoshoot together but have not yet officially announced the project.
Earlier this month we saw Abhay Deol in a webseries on Disne+ Hotstar titiled 1962: The war in the Hills. The show bagged mixed reviews from the audience. However, the performance of Abhay Deol was appreciated by one and all. We are looking forward to this show. What about you?
