This week Balika Vadhu Season 2 is set to premiere on Colors TV. About a decade ago, family drama was very popular. The new season will star Shreya Patel as the new Anandi. The teleserial will once again highlight child marriage. The cast of the first season is feeling nostalgic.
Remembering the first season, Avika Gor and Sidharth Shukla shared their experiences. Sidharth Shukla, who played Shiv in season 1 said, “Balika Vadhu played an important role in my life and in my career. I got a chance to work with the best from the television industry. Season 2 of Balika Vadhu is set in the Devgarh village of Gujarat. The show will portray the journey of Nayi Anandi, who will fight and take steps to undo the injustice done to her. This is a story of two friends who get their infants married. They did it with a view to strengthen their friendship and become a family. Balika Vadhu Season 2 will premiere on Colors TV on August 9. The show will be telecast Monday to Friday at 8 pm.
