Bigg Boss 17: A Bombay High Court attorney complains to the Indian Bar Council over advocate Sana Raees Khan’s appearance on Salman Khan’s show

Sana Raees Khan was the subject of a complaint by the attorney to the Bar Council of India for a “serious matter of professional misconduct.”

One of the most contentious reality series, Bigg Boss, started its 17th season on October 15 and is already garnering media attention for a number of reasons. As the show’s host, Salman has returned once more.

Sana Raees Khan, a lawyer, is one of the participants in Bigg Boss 17, which includes a number of well-known television stars. For those who are unaware, Sana represented Indrani Mukerjea, the main suspect in the murder of Sheena Bora. She also defended a co-defendant in the narcotics case in Cordelia, where Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan had previously been detained.

Sana’s involvement in the program has been criticized by Bombay High Court attorney Ashutosh J. Dubey as a “violation of Bar Council rules.” The attorney also reported the incident as a “serious matter of professional misconduct” to the Bar Council of India.

Taking to his X account, the lawyer shared the complaint letter and wrote, “I have formally notified the Bar Council of India that Advocate Sana Raees Khan has participated as a contestant in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 17’ which is a violation of Bar Council Rules.”

He added, “According to rules 47 to 52 of the Bar Council of India Rules, advocates are prohibited from engaging in any other employment to generate income. Additionally, section 49(1)(c) of the Advocates Act, 1961 restricts practicing advocates from pursuing full-time employment in other fields.”
