Bigg Boss 20 Day 36 did what the format does best: it dropped two new wildcard contestants into a closed house and let the old equations wobble. Manish Goyal and Nakul Dhull entered for the October 12 episode, and the talk shifted quickly from introductions to personal boundaries.

Amrapali Dubey clears the air on her love life

When Mahhi Vij asked Amrapali Dubey about her relationship status, Amrapali said she had not been in a relationship for a long time and does not currently have a boyfriend. She also pointed out that most established actors in the Bhojpuri film industry are already married.

On the long-running chatter around her and actor Dinesh Lal Yadav, known as Nirahua, she stressed that he is married with grown-up children and had an arranged marriage. Asked whether he had ever had girlfriends, she suggested he may have had past relationships, but added that he has never left his wife.

Nakul Dhull’s questions put Aman Gandhi on the spot

A conversation about Mumbai’s safety for women and its acceptance of LGBTQIA+ culture took a sharp turn when Nakul asked Aman Gandhi whether he was straight or gay. Aman said he is straight, but Nakul kept going, asking whether Aman would consider being with a man and bringing up the word “homophobic”. The exchange left Aman visibly uncomfortable.

Later, Nakul told Gullu and Qazi that he had deliberately used the term to tease Aman because he could see the chat was bothering him. That is the part worth watching: wildcard contestants often need to create an impression quickly, but a joke aimed at someone else’s identity can turn entertainment into unease.

A ghee fight and a nomination twist

Food ration fights are a Bigg Boss tradition, and Day 36 followed the familiar script:

• Kanika Mann asked captain Aasif Khan for ghee, and Aasif said he could not show favouritism.
• Arishfa Khan called Kanika selfish over food, and the disagreement escalated.
• Arishfa held on to the ghee bottle until Aasif asked her to hand some over because Kanika was going to bed hungry.
• Nakul backed Arishfa during the clash, adding a second layer to his first day.

Then came the nominations twist. Bigg Boss told the housemates that the upcoming nominations would be “limitless”, meaning contestants could nominate anyone. As house captain, Aasif was given a special power to nominate one person directly, and he named Mahhi Vij.

Why this matters for viewers

The wildcard entries are not just two new faces. They are a test of how quickly the house order can be rearranged. Nakul’s first impression, the kitchen standoff, and Mahhi’s direct nomination all feed the same question: who will be sent home this week?

Aasif’s direct nomination matters because it removes a contestant from the usual group-vote safety net. Mahhi now faces a spotlight that can either rally support for her or make her an easy target.
