Shilpa Shinde posts a video backing Bigg Boss 20 contestants Qazi Touqeer and Mahhi Vij, comparing their two-versus-house fight with her Lock Upp 2 run.

Bigg Boss 20: Shilpa Shinde Backs Qazi and Mahhi

After watching the latest Bigg Boss 20 episode, Shilpa Shinde has made it clear which contestants she is rooting for. In a video shared on social media, she backed Qazi Touqeer and Mahhi Vij, saying they are standing firm while much of the house seems lined up against them.

A fight that feels familiar

Shilpa said the current house equation reminded her of her own time in Lock Upp 2, when she and Shreya Kalra often found themselves on one side while the rest of the house sat on the other. “It was like two people versus the entire house,” she said.

She also drew a link with Bigg Boss 20’s group dynamics, pointing out how other contestants can influence each other. According to Shilpa, Gullu gets swayed by fellow housemates much like Varun used to be influenced by Ram Baba during her season.

Her reads on the Bigg Boss 20 house

  • She believes house discussions keep revolving around Qazi and Mahhi instead of individual games.
  • She questioned why some contestants act above the rest and reminded them to stay grounded, saying nothing is permanent.
  • She felt Salman Khan spoke his mind in the weekend episode.
  • She defended Mahhi, saying she speaks normally rather than gossiping about others.

On the ‘scripted’ question

Shilpa also addressed a familiar viewer question: whether reality shows are scripted. She said that although a 24-hour day is edited into a one-hour episode, that is not the same as fabricating the entire situation. In her view, the truth eventually shows itself on screen.

That distinction matters for Bigg Boss fans. A tight edit can shape which moments get attention, but it cannot create week-long allegiances and clashes on its own.

Her support for Qazi and Mahhi

Her video ended with a direct appeal to fans. Shilpa said she salutes Qazi and Mahhi for fighting the battle and is “100 per cent” with them, asking viewers to support the duo as well.

Shilpa’s video is not just about choosing favourites. It also names what many viewers feel when a small alliance is isolated: the house can look less like a game and more like a pile-on. Her comparison to Lock Upp 2 gives that feeling a reference point.

For Bigg Boss watchers, Shilpa’s public backing adds another layer to the season’s biggest house divide: a former reality show contestant openly validating the two contestants at the centre of the drama.
