An ETimes poll on Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 has 51% wanting Aishwarya Madhu out, ahead of Tashi at 36%, but no eviction has been confirmed.

Bigg Boss Malayalam 8: 51% Pick Aishwarya, 36% Tashi

Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 is heading into its fifth weekend, and the audience already has a clear favourite for the exit. In an ETimes poll shared on its official Instagram account, 51% of respondents named Aishwarya Madhu as the contestant they want to leave, while 36% picked Tashi.

The poll gave fans four names to choose from: Aishwarya, Tashi, Goutham Sasi and Eldho. The remaining votes were split between the two men, but the gap between the top two is the number fans are discussing right now. Still, no eviction has been confirmed, and the weekend episode could still move in another direction.

A fan poll is not an official exit

Polls like this are best read as a temperature check. They show which contestant is carrying the loudest online chatter into the weekend, but they do not decide who actually leaves the house. Bigg Boss evictions depend on the show’s voting rules and the makers’ format choices.

The 51% for Aishwarya is the standout figure, but it is only a viewer verdict for now. Part of the online audience is also pointing out that this weekend may not have a standard eviction at all, because the show saw a mass eviction during the previous weekend.

Why Aishwarya and Tashi are being debated

Aishwarya entered the season as one of the lesser-known contestants on the premiere day. Over the weeks, she pulled attention through her bond with fellow housemate Komban, though she has also faced criticism from a section of viewers over the love angles playing out in the house.

Tashi, who was one of the finalists on Agnipareeksha, joined Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 as a wildcard contestant. He initially played as a duo with Shibna, and the two were later announced as individual contestants. His gameplay has earned attention, but his aggressive behaviour has brought criticism as well.

Re-entries add another layer

The eviction chatter is playing out while the house itself is changing. In a recent episode, Mridhula Vijai and Anjali made their re-entry from the secret room. On top of that, evicted contestant Rakesh is expected to return after being selected by Rahul Easwar through a special privilege.

For viewers, that means the weekend episode is about more than a single elimination. Here is what the poll and the recent house moves tell us so far:

  • 51% of poll respondents picked Aishwarya to leave, and 36% picked Tashi.
  • No official eviction has been announced, and a mass eviction last week could change the format.
  • Mridhula Vijai and Anjali are back in the house from the secret room.
  • Rakesh’s return is expected after Rahul Easwar’s selection.

As Bigg Boss fans know, the contestant at the top of a midweek poll can still turn the story around before the weekend episode. If Aishwarya gets a chance to change the narrative, the viewer numbers could look very different by Sunday. For now, the fan conversation is doing what it always does ahead of a weekend episode: building the stakes before the official decision arrives.
