Dhurandhar: The Revenge TV Premiere: 45-50 Cuts on Star Gold
Dhurandhar: The Revenge premieres on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18 at 7 PM, after around 45-50 CBFC cuts to tone down violent and gory scenes.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is finally getting its television window. The action-heavy spy thriller will premiere on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 7 PM, months after its theatrical run and streaming release. But TV viewers will not be seeing the same version that played in cinemas.
Why the TV cut is different
According to a Bollywood Hungama report cited by The Times of India, the CBFC asked the makers to make around 45–50 cuts before clearing the film for television. The changes mostly target the film’s goriest and most violent stretches. A source quoted in the report said, “Almost all the modifications pertained to the extremely violent and gory scenes,” adding that the edits were done so the makers could keep the film’s overall impact intact.
This is the second major round of changes. Before the theatrical release, the CBFC reportedly asked for about 94 seconds of footage to be removed, and some abusive words were muted or replaced. The theatrical version still received an ‘A’ certificate and ran for 3 hours, 49 minutes and 6 seconds—roughly 229.6 minutes.
What viewers should know
- Premiere: Star Gold, Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 7 PM.
- Changes: Around 45–50 cuts, focused on violent and gory scenes.
- Runtime: The theatrical cut is 3h 49m 6s; the TV runtime could be shorter.

Why this premiere matters
For Indian TV audiences, the Star Gold telecast is the biggest small-screen moment for Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The cuts are a reminder that television certification is stricter about gore and language, so the telecast is expected to feel safer for family viewing, even if some of the film’s edge is dialled down.
This is also a classic release-window move: a blockbuster moves from theatre to OTT and then to television, finding a wider audience at each stage. The film has already earned around Rs 1,813 crore worldwide, according to figures reported by Sacnilk. Now the TV ratings become the next number to watch as the film begins its next phase.
If you want the full-intensity version, the theatrical and OTT cuts are the reference points; if you are planning a family movie night, the Star Gold telecast is designed to be the more accessible option.
