Indian soap opera, ‘Pavitra Rishta’ was the most popular and entertaining tv show. The show ran for five long years on the small screen. The show created wonders for all the star cast and it often ruled the TRP charts. Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput portrayed the role of Manav Deshmukh while Ankita was seen in her character Archana Deshmukh. The actors became household names after playing the respective characters.
According to recent reports, Ekta Kapoor is planning to launch season two of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ on ZEE 5. The officials at Zee and Balaji telefilms are keen to launch ‘Pavitra Rishta 2’. The makers are looking out for a new cast in the second season of the show. Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi were also seen playing the lead role. Hiten Tejwani replaced Sushant in the show.
Ankita and Sushant fell in love on the sets of ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Their sizzling chemistry was quite popular among the fans. Sushant quit the show in the middle of the year 2011.
‘Pavitra Rishta’ was produced by Ekta Kapoor under her banner Balaji Telefilms. The concept of the show is an adaptation of the south Indian Tamil series, Thirumathi Selvam of Sun TV. The story followed the love story of Manav Deshmukh and Archana Deshmukh played by Ankita Lokhande.
