As India is going through a crucial time amidst covid, there are many who have come forward and helped the needy. Gurmeet Choudhary has also done his bits for people suffering. He has now come up with something new which will bring a change to the country. The actor has now tied up with a team of Covid Warriors (young doctors) to launch Covi-Med which will provide free teleconsultation service for home isolated patients with mild to moderate symptoms so that they don’t panic, don’t self medicate, and most importantly they don’t need to leave their houses for immediate help.
Gurmeet has extend helping hand with 19 doctors across the country. These doctors will be available from 10pm to 8pm with 2 Whatsapp number for any enquiry related to covid-19. The team of the doctors will provide proper medical consults and armed with the knowledge on how to deal with the anxiety that comes with covid. Covid-19 can be very much be cured at home in isolation if the right care and medication is been given.
The covid warriors will consult through two whatsapp numbers. They will ask the patient for their details and medical history and a registered practitioner will call them.
The doctors will advise and treat the patients who have mild to moderate symptoms of covid in home isolation. They will give proper medical opinion if hospitalization is needed, mental health related queries, provide covid care and follow up. Covi-Med has 19 doctors in their team and many are still volunteering, some nursing officers have also volunteered to help.
Gurmeet Choudhary has been inspired by Sonu Sood’s humanitarian work during the crisis. He too wanted to help people as the country battle with covid-19. His wife debina had too taken to her social media platforms to appeal all that people who have recovered from covid-19 should donate plasma for the treatment of patients.
