Meanwhile, Hina Khan has revealed that she was once rejected for her dusky complexion. The role for which the actress was rejected, was of a Kashmiri girl.
Hina opened up on how she dealt with the situation. She said, “There are times where I probably don’t like the story. At times I don’t want to do that kind of a character. But sometimes probably you test for it, and you are very keen that it works. And it doesn’t work out for various reasons.”
Additionally, she said, “I can’t talk about the project, but I remember I could not bag the role because I didn’t look Kashmiri enough. I am Kashmiri and I can fluently speak the language. Unfortunately, I didn’t get cast because of my complexion, whereas the character demanded a fair complexion. I never lose hope, I don’t give up. I keep trying!”
