The singing reality show season 12 has been surrounded by considerable controversies. Recently 50 episodes of the season were celebrated on the show’s stage last week. Last, to last week, Kishore Kumar was celebrated with 100 songs of the singer/actor. This episode was supposedly not liked by Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar. Amit Kumar’s statement to this effect was also highly contentious.
Indian Idol did a special episode for Shravan Rathod on 22nd May. They had invited people close to him like Kumar Sanu, Anuradha Paudwal and Roopkumar Rathod on the sets. The theme was the romantic love songs of Nadeem-Shravan. Fans who have followed their work know they were the kings of music is in the ’90s. During this episode, the season’s talented contestants gave excellent performances. Since then, Indian Idol 2021 has started trending on social media. Although not for a compliment but against a couple of singers. People on social media are demanding the exclusion of Shanmukha Priya from the show.
Singer Shanmukha Priya rose to fame with her unusual high-pitched opera and yodeling techniques. It appears that the viewers are now not very impressed with Shanmukh Priya’s style of singing. More so, when Shanmukh Priya adapts to the songs of the legendary singers in her own style. In yesterday’s episode, she sang “Humko Sirf Tumse Pyaar Hai” in her own style. Netizens are criticizing judges for accepting her singing. Fuming social media enthusiasts are demanding that the singer should be eliminated from the show.

She is talented her talent is to spoil any song given to her and give weird expressions. #Shanmukhapriya please be empathetic towards humans and leave the show.
The host Aditya Narayan was also slammed by many for taking a jibe at Amit Kumar. Someone even went to the extent of describing Shanmukha Priya as a deadly wave.
