Indian Idol 12 has attracted a lot of publicity because of the amazing contestants. This weekend the show’s entertainment element will be enhanced. The episode would be dedicated to the charisma of Bollywood diva Rekha. The Bollywood icon will appear as a special guest and the episode is labeled ‘Mallika-e-ishq Rekha’.
While Rekha was left touched by the makers for the special episode, the judges and contestants also had a gala time hearing the anecdotes from the actor’s past. Besides her beauty and gracefulness, the actress exhibited her confident self. Rekha donned on her signature Kanjeevaram saree and completed her look with classic jewelry. Her appearance made everyone awestruck, especially the reality show judge Neha Kakkar
The Indian Idol 12 contestants performed on the diva’s popular songs, she was left touched by the tribute. Her most emotional moment on the sets was after the performance of Sawai Bhatt. Sawai soulfully sang “Lambi Judaai” Her comments were “Sawai, I felt emotionally touched after listening to this song which is sung by you. We all know that you are an incredible singer with great vocal skills but it takes a lot of effort to touch somebody’s heart. And your pure singing has the potential to do the same.” Sawai Bhatt was consequently left in tears and Rekha went on stage to wipe them off. Additionally, Rekha had brought Sawai Bhatt’s favourite “Paneer Sabzi” and fed him with her own hands.
In line with the tradition started by Neetu Singh during last weekend, Rekha also brought wedding Shagun for the reality show judge Neha Kakkar. The actress gifted Neha a beautiful Kanjeevaram Saree, which Neha accepted with utmost grace.
Rekha made the episode memorable by playing dholak with Pawandeep on stage. She also expressed her desire to adopt Pawandeep. More entertainment quotient was added to Indian Idol by Rekha. The actress awarded Shagun to Danish for his fabulous performance and also indulged in the ‘warding off the evil eye’ ritual.
