Kamya Punjabi: I was depressed when we began shooting “Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki”

The popular daily soap Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has wrapped up a few days ago. After Rubina Dilaik’s heartfelt note, Kamya Punjabi expressed that she is very attached to the show, The actress recently opened up about the importance of the show in her life.  Kamya Punjabi was battling depression during the shooting. She is having difficulty in coming to terms with the wrap-up of the show.

Expressing her feelings about the end of the successful show, Kamya shared, “I cried a lot when the director announced pack-up. I didn’t leave the set for a couple of hours. It has been a few days since the shoot wrapped up, but I continue to feel low.”

Furthermore, Kamya Punjabi also shared about the sudden wrap-up of the show.  The actress revealed that it was a planned decision and everyone agreed to it. Shakti is a brand, which started nicely, Kamya Punjabi is happy that it has ended while it was going great instead of being dragged.

Kamya also revealed that she was offered the show when she was going through a low phase.  At that time, she had just broken up with Karan Patel. “Shakti has given me a new life. I was in depression when I joined the show. Karan got married in 2015, and I was in no position to work for almost a year.  I joined the show in 2016 and this show kept me alive.  I got a new life as I was occupied with the work.”

Meanwhile, Kamya does not intend to go on a break. She said that she is not the kind of person who would say, ‘Oh! I need a break, go for a holiday and rejuvenate’. She is a workaholic and presently meeting friends, whom she couldn’t meet earlier due to lack of time. Kamya said, “I am waiting for my husband (Shalabh Dang) to arrive in Mumbai.  Thereafter, I will have a gathering with my Shakti team and then I will go to Delhi.”
