Ace actor Satish Kaul, better known for his role of Lord Indra in Teleserial Mahabharata passed away. The actor suffered coronavirus-related complications. He breathed his last on Saturday in Ludhiana. Satish Kaul was 74 years of age. As per Kaul’s sister Satya Devi “He had a fever for the last five-six days and wasn’t keeping well. So, on Thursday, we admitted him to Shri Rama Charitable Hospital here, and then we learned he had tested positive for coronavirus,” The funeral held today, some noteworthy personalities have expressed their condolences.
Satish Kaul began his acting career in the early ’70s. In his acting career, Satish Kaul has over 300 Punjabi and Hindi films to his credit. His popular Bollywood films include Ram Lakhan, Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha and Aunty No 1. Satish Kaul’s career in Punjabi movis lasted longer than Hindi movies. He has acted in movies like Maula Jatt, Sassi Punnu, Ishq Nimana, Suhag Chooda and Patola. On TV, apart from Mahabharat, Kaul acted in Vikram Aur Betaal seies.
Kaul started an acting school after moving to Punjab in 2011. However, the project did not take off well. Thereafter, Satish Kaul could not continue his acting career as his hip bone fractured. This incident made him bedridden for two and half years. Thereafter he checked into an old age home and stayed there for a couple of years. The actor had expressed his financial worries during the lockdown period last year. He made an appeal to the industry for help and support. Satish Kaul wanted to resume his acting career.
