Punit Talreja was reportedly assaulted by two individuals in Thane, Maharashtra, and sustained severe injuries. He was later taken to the hospital.
Punit Talreja, a television actor best known for his time on “Khichdi,” reportedly suffered severe injuries when two persons beat him up in Maharashtra’s Thane region on Tuesday, according to police.
According to the Republic World story, the horrific indecent incident happened on Sunday night in Ambernath Township while Talreja, 34, was riding his scooter home after buying his mother’s medication.
He was approached by two people on scooters who honked at him from behind. According to a police officer from Ambernath’s Shivaji Nagar police station, they even cursed at him for not yielding to them and reportedly beat him with an iron rod and other weapons.
The official claimed that Talreja was seriously hurt during their fury and that several bystanders transported him to a nearby hospital where he is presently receiving treatment. The official said that they have filed a complaint and the suspects have not yet been apprehended.
