Rakhi Sawant’s legal woes appear to be multiplying, as a FIR has been filed against her for allegedly’mocking’ the Adivasi ethnic people and their attire. Rakhi Sawant recently posted a video on her Instagram account in which she was dressed up as a member of the tribal community and demonstrated her sensual dance techniques. The video outraged some individuals, including Ajay Tirkey, the president of the Jharkhand Central Sarna Committee, who has filed a FIR against Rakhi for “hurting the feelings” of the tribal population.
According to an Etimes TV report, Ajay Tirkey said in his complaint that Rakhi was wearing a “semi-nude” attire that “demeans” tribal women and insults the community.” According to the story, Tirkey stated that community members will hold a violent protest until Sawant apologises. He further urged that the actress be prosecuted under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, as soon as possible.
In the video, Rakhi said, “Hey guys aap mera yeh look dekh rahe hai aaj…poora tribal looks…poora adivasi jisko hum kehte hain.”
Rakhi Sawant, on the other hand, has made an apology, claiming that she had no intention of hurting the tribal community’s feelings. The Bigg Boss 15 contestant stated that her words on ‘adivasi’ in the video were not meant to be disrespectful to anyone. She went on to say that she shared the video to tease her future music video in which she portrays an African tribal girl.
