Bigg Boss Malayalam 8: Santhosh Left Game Show with ₹3,00,000

Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 contestant Santhosh Raj, known as Tashi inside the house, is back in the headlines. This time, however, the clip going viral is from before his Bigg Boss journey began, and it shows a very different version of the wildcard entrant.

The throwback is circulating at a heated moment in the game. In the latest episode, host Mohanlal confronted Santhosh over his behaviour, and the conversation has kept him firmly in the spotlight.

The game show run

In the viral footage, Santhosh appears on Minute to Win It, which aired in 2016 and was hosted by Nyla Usha. He went head-to-head against a contestant named Subin across three levels. Santhosh won all three, which earned him ₹25,000 and knocked Subin out of the game. He then played the final round but could not clear it, so he left the show with ₹3,00,000.

The clip also has him introducing himself and sharing a few personal details:

• He is from Kollam, and his family includes his father, mother and elder sister.
• He practised Kalaripayattu for around six years.
• His dream, he said, was to work in a European country.
• His favourite adventure sport is skydiving.

“My dream is to work in a European country,” Santhosh says in the video.

Why the throwback matters now

The resurfaced video lands at a significant time. Santhosh entered Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 as a wildcard contestant along with Shibina, and the pair called themselves the “double-barrel combo”. Both were commoners who got into the house through Agnipareeksha, the pre-show used to pick commoners for Season 8.

Inside the game, his assertive style has drawn repeated warnings from Mohanlal. Two weeks ago, Santhosh was questioned over alleged physical aggression towards Goutham during a task. This weekend, the host confronted him again over aggressive behaviour towards Shijin and the use of inappropriate language when referring to viewers. These incidents led Mohanlal to nominate him for the next three weeks. Santhosh has also caught public attention after expressing his feelings for 21-year-old contestant Neha Fathima.

What fans are watching for

Old television clips like this often resurface once a contestant becomes a talking point, and they can change how viewers read their current game. For Santhosh, the Minute to Win It clip is a reminder that his television journey started long before Bigg Boss.

The audience is now waiting to see whether he changes his approach in the house or faces eviction in the upcoming episodes.
