Shivangi Joshi: Senior actors used to make fun of me back when I was struggling

Recently, Shivangi Joshi spoke out about how the veteran performers treated her poorly in her first play.

Shivangi Joshi, a television actress, rose to fame after playing Naira Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. On social media, she has a sizable fan base who are constantly curious to learn more about her life and challenges. Her road hasn’t been simple, despite the benefits of being one of the most adored superstars in the field. In a recent interview, she talked openly on the same subject.

During her first show, Shivangi talked openly about her early struggles and how veteran performers treated her unfairly. She made her acting debut in 2013 in the television programme Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi opposite Gautami Kapoor and Manav Gohil. She stated in her interview that she has worked with older actors who don’t value little children on programmes since they don’t speak the filming language and are frequently illiterate. They frequently bemoaned her lack of knowledge and advised her to “learn before coming on set.”

The 25-year-old said, “I recall being held in a vanity van with junior artists and being forced to sit with them at my first concert. Later, I came to recognise that the care I was receiving was completely inadequate. She acknowledged that many newbies experience similar problems, but said that because she understands how it feels, she would never treat her juniors in the same manner.

Shivangi further in her interview also shared how because of her introverted nature, “people assume that I’m arrogant, rude and have an attitude. I still remember, I performed a tough scene and couldn’t give the byte. The press went on to say that I have an attitude.” She continued by recalling how heartbroken she felt when the media turned down an interview with her since she wasn’t the main character. She did, however, also express her appreciation for a portion of the media that has been helpful to her during her journey.

She then starred in Balika Vadhu 2 and had a guest appearance in Shalin Bhanot’s television series Bekaboo following Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She will appear in actor Kushal Tandon’s new television series Barsaatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka with Ekta Kapoor. Sony TV will debut the programme on July 10.
