Dipika Chikhlia, who played Sita in the Ramayan, was mocked mercilessly for wearing a white top and skirt.
It appears that internet trolling has become ingrained in the lives of celebrities. Every day, one of the actors is mocked on social media in some way. Trolls have recently targeted television actress Dipika Chikhlia, who is best known for playing Sita in the original Ramayan, for her latest appearance. Dipika tweeted a photo of herself wearing a white shirt, a skirt, and a tie. She was carrying a champagne glass and posed with her girl gang.
“Ye Apka Khon Sa Avtar Hai…? Sorry, Dekh Kar Bilkul bhi Acha Nahi Laga…” Another commented, “Maa ye aapne Haath me kaunsi drink le rakhi hai?.”
One comment read, “Aapko aise kpde nhi pehnne chaiye dipikaji hamne aapko devi ka drja diya hua h so.” However, after facing severe backlash, Dipika Chikhlia deleted the picture.
In an early interview with Hindustan Times, Dipika had said Ramayan was a once-in-a-lifetime role. “I would love to do something like this once the lockdown is over. When I am no more, my body of work shouldn’t only be Ramayan, it should be much more. The movies I have done in Kannada or in Bengal, all of them have broken records. I should have a good body of work in the Hindi cinema apart from Ramayan,” she was quoted saying.
