Comedian Sughandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosale were booked for allegedly flouting covid restrictions at their wedding. The wedding was held at a resort in Punjab’s Phagwara town in Kapurthala district on April 26.
On Wednesday, the case was been registered against Sughandha, the owner of the resort and others who attended the wedding. After a video went viral showing the large gathering of people at the wedding in violation of Covid-19 norms. A case has been filed against the management of the hotel.
A case was been filed against the couple for allegedly flouting Covid-19 rules and even having over 100 guests at their wedding. The case was registered under section 188 of the Indian Penal code and relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act, says Singh.
As per the reports, the guests of the groom had already arrived at the venue one day before the wedding and had been quarantined for 24 hours.
