‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ fame Bhavya Gandhi aka Tapu lost his father due to coronavirus infection. According to the reports, his father was on a ventilator, fighting for his life for the last 10 days at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Ambani Hospital.
The actor’s father passed away recently. Bhavya’s father Vinod Gandhi was into the construction business. The date and timing of the death are not yet revealed.
Bavya is known for playing the role of Tipendra Jethalal Gada aka Tapu in the long-running sitcom. The actor played the character for nine years before having quit the show over three years ago.
Bhavya still shares a close bond with Taarak’s actors like Disha Vakani, who played his mother, Dilip Joshi and Samay Shah aka Gogi. After leaving the show, Bhavya worked in a few Gujarati films like Papa Tamne nahi samjhay, Striker, Baap Kamaal Dikro Dhamaal and more.
Bhavya and his family revealed that he was supposed to attend his cousin and former co-star Samay Shah’s sister’s wedding on May 9. However, Bhavya’s father got hospitalized and they had to attend the ceremony virtually.
