With an emotional note, Rupali Ganguly bids farewell to Sagar Parekh, who played her on-screen son Samar

Rupali Ganguly dedicates a touching letter to Sagar Parekh, who played her son Samar in the television series Anupamaa, when the plot of the programme revealed the character’s demise.

Star of Anupamaa Rupali Ganguly broke down and sent her co-star Sagar Parekh a poignant email as he said goodbye to the show. The 46-year-old actress posted sweet images of her on-screen kid on Instagram along with a heartfelt comment for him. Writes the actress, “Anupamaa and her Bakuda Samar, one of the most beautiful mother son bond created on television, the very first relationship I connected to coz that was the very first promo I shot.”

She concludes the post saying, “It is heartbreaking and emotionally draining and exhausting as Anupamaa bids farewell to her precious child … but my genuine love for you as a person has made it so much more believable for me to do. Thank you @rajan.shahi.543 for this unparalleled bond of Anupamaa and her Bakudaa, forever grateful.” Many social media users lauded their mother-son chemistry. A user wrote, “I watch this show only for mother son bond, but stopped watching completely.” Another one commented, I will badly miss this bonding.”

Rupali began her acting career when she was just 7 years old, appearing in her father Anil Ganguly’s 1985 film “Saaheb.” She played the role of Monisha in the acclaimed comedy series Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai, which premiered in 2004, solidifying her status as a household figure in the television business. She then appeared on many TV programmes, including Sanjivani, Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi, and Baa Bahoo Aur Baby.

Fans of Anupamaa will sincerely miss Rupali Ganguly and Sagar Parekh’s on-screen chemistry. After the show’s Samar, who played his role, was killed off, everyone was devastated.
