Comedy show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai is a Hindi sitcom that premiered on 2 March 2015 on &TV. The show is also digitally available on ZEE5.
The series is produced by Binaifer Kohli under the banner of Edit II Productions. This comedy show revolves around two neighboring couples, the Mishras, and the Tiwaris. In the show, the husbands are attracted to each other’s wives. Both Mishraji and Tiwariji attempt various ultimately unsuccessful and hilarious techniques to impress each other’s wives.
Since its inception, the show has garnered positive reviews and acclaim from critics and viewers alike. Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai is inspired by the 1994 Hindi sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati.
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai show has bagged four Gold Comedy Awards
Recently, the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai show has bagged four Gold Comedy Awards across various categories during the awards night in Mumbai. In addition, Aasif Sheikh who plays the role of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra won the Best Actor award. Also, Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi) won the Best Actor and Best Actress awards, and Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh) won Best Supporting Actor.
Meanwhile, on receiving the Best Actor award, Aasif Sheikh said: “I am grateful and delighted for this recognition. It truly means a lot. It feels great to see how the character of Vibhuti has etched a special place in the audience’s heart and continues to be their absolute favorite. Vibhuti is nothing without the team behind him.”
Furthermore, winning the Best Actress award, Shubhangi Atre shared: “Nothing is as great as getting recognized for your hard work. I am thankful to the makers and the whole team for making Angoori a beloved character. Such achievements motivate us as artistes to work harder and continue on our efforts to do something different and entertain people.”
