Kamya Panjabi lambasted a logic-defying sequence from ‘Swaran Ghar’ on Twitter, claiming that this is why TV entertainment is looked down upon.
The daily drama ‘Swaran Ghar,’ starring Sangita Ghosh, was recently trending on social media, with viewers criticising one of the show’s sequences. Swarna (Sangitadupatta )’s became entangled in between the pedestal fan in motion after she was yanked with force inside a viral video. Ajit rushed to her aid and saved Swarna’s life by biting the dupatta and ripping it apart.
Kamya slammed this moment on Twitter, saying that perhaps this is why, despite having outstanding performers, television entertainment is viewed with suspicion. Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki tweeted the scene footage, saying, “This is precisely why despite having some brilliant actors TV content is looked down upon, compared to Films and web.”
The moment was also criticised by spectators and Twitterati, who called it “illogical and beyond science.” One Twitter user said, “Its just needed ‘a left turn’ to leave the dupatta.. the script writer should have suggested two folds around the neck to justify the scene.” Another user reacted, “Are bhai dupatta hath se nikal bhi skta tha inlogical scene kuch bhi dikhate.”
In the meantime, actress Sargun Mehta and her spouse Ravi Dubey’s Dreamiyata Productions are producing Swaran Ghar. In an interview, Ravi Dubey stated that this programme was conceived and written by Sargun. “The first time we were deliberating over the script, we were absolutely excited and both of us knew that this would have far-reaching and personal relevance. This was the first show that was ideated under the banner and the second to find its way after Udaariyaan,” the actor was quoted saying.
